I also create teacup chandeliers for the home fully PAT tested and working order for that unique lighting centre piece. here's a previous but now sold design.
Well it's been a while since my last blog what with the kids off school, family fun, enjoying the sun and some girlie time at York races. I've neglected my post. They go back to school next week and I need to get back into the swing of things or we'll be eating grass sandwiches through September. If you've just paid out for the school uniform shop I feel your pain. I needed to be creative and take my mind of the August expense and I've made my first teacup chandelier bird feeder. These look fabulous and can be used minus the bird seed with tea lights for sunny evenings in the garden or even in the home. Created from vintage miss match china teacups and a vintage wooden chandelier. The electrics have been removed, undercoated and painted, teacups are secured with metal fittings not glued so will not come apart over time. I can make these in a colour to suit your taste but all teacups and chandeliers vary due to being vintage. I also create teacup chandeliers for the home fully PAT tested and working order for that unique lighting centre piece. here's a previous but now sold design. I have to say it's one of my favourites and I was a little sad to see it go. But on the plus side I have an excuse to treasure hunt for more teacups!

I've been working on some new designs for my teacup bird feeder range. here's one. And as you can see they're for attaching to walls. building and trees. Last night after completing the photo shoot of this bird feeder, I was a little lazy and left it there over night. However I can now say my feeders come fully tried, tested and approved as someone has been eating the bird seed and it wasn't me!
Remember this scooter from my last post. My daughter was raffling it off to raise money for her expedition to Mongolia and china. Well £2000 was raised making a massive dent in the fundraising. Thank you to all who bought tickets, we enjoyed seeing everyone at the National Scooter Rally in Cleethorpes despite the rain and think the lucky winner enjoyed it more so. Here he is Tony Jones from Bradford with Alicia and the scoot. Congratulations!

What with the rubbish weather we could be forgiven for thinking it's winter not summer. This morning I thought I'd been asleep through summer and woken in December! After finding a sale in my shop of a vintage Santa Christmas tree ornament. I wish I was so organised but no I'll be panicking like most of the population two weeks before the big day. Here's the Santa in question now I'm better crack on and get organised.
Well yesterday it was National sunglasses day, Good job it wasn't today there would be no chance of wearing them. Luckily the rain held off for me to watch my son's sports day at school. I've been feeling sorry for myself the last few days after being poorly but cheered up no end yesterday when I received this message from a customer.
GOOD NEWS!!! Just now, 11:35 Pacific Standard Time, I received the teapot in perfect condition!! YAY! So happy. Now you can put your mind at ease! :) I will be posting a sterling review as soon as Etsy lets me! And thanks again for working with me on this. It's lovely to hear that your customers are happy and since running my own business I now always leave reviews for other small businesses. It's not just for promotion but to put a smile on their face. remember they're not multi million pound companies run by fat cats but hard working people with normal lives trying to provide for their family while providing a great service and often a unique product. Here's the teapot the customer received, a custom order for them to complete a Alice in Wonderland diorama, see my previous post for more info on a diorama. Wishing you all a happy summer solstice, enjoy the 17 hours of daylight an if you're lucky some sunshine. As Today Monday, June 20th. The sun rose at 4.45am and sunset will happen at 10.34pm. So make sure you have some fun as in 6 months time the shortest day of the year will only be 7 hours and 49 minutes of day light. I would quite like to sit out in the garden with a glass of wine and admire the Strawberry moon that also should appear tonight. Here's my new swing and renovated corner if only it would stop raining long enough for me to sit on it. Well there's always next year!
In the mornings I enjoy a fast long walk around the village when I've dropped of my son at school. Then I feel ready to set to work after the rush of getting everybody of to work and school. This morning I spotted this cat in a bird house/table, the birds were not impressed. Luckily my latest bird feeder design is cat proof and pretty too.
