As you may already know, I make many teacup bird feeders. This one in my garden is loved by Mr Robin redbreast, I've been filling it up daily and thought to myself "he's eating a lot must have babies near by" As every time I see him there it's empty! Well look there's a thief about! It's not a great quality pic, I took it in a hurry on my phone. But he really should know the rules of my garden and that feeder is reserved just like this one is reserved for the blue tit family. I better design something for the bigger, hungrier birds now.

There's now a national day for everything, sometimes four or five national days on one day. Today's it's National No Dirty Dishes day! I think you should use this to your advantage, eat out, get a takeaway, visit parent's anything as long as you don't have to wash up! I luckily have a evening out planned, a sort of works night. All the female designers from the shop I sell in are off for a meal and I hope wine will be involved. Here's the shops fb page, The gallery something_ old something new. Lots of wonderful things under one roof for gifts and the home. This picture is from when my items were on display in the window. Enjoy your evening, what ever you do. I best put any drilling of china on hold in case I have a sore head in the morning.
We've been busy here at Pretty vintage house making bird houses, I've done some on a cream background, what do you think?I like it and I'm going to experiment with more colour in future. It's just a quick blog tonight but hopefully I'll be back soon. If anyone saw my last post and was wondering about the poorly chicken Sour, I'm afraid she died. The kids buried her in a sunny spot and hopefully the last remaining chicken Gravy will be going to a new home at the weekend. As it's not fair for her to be on her own with no chucks to keep her company.
Did you know today is National Chicken Dance day? there's some weird and wonderful national days out there, who came up with this one I don't know. So if your out for a tipple tonight make sure you do your chicken dance! I'm sure someone will post it to utube for you, hehehe. I'm not dancing tonight, I have children so I don't get out much but when I do I don't care who's watching or what I dance like. Here's a pic of the last two of our family pet chickens. They're my daughters chickens we did have 5 originally but over the years we have lost them to old age e.t.c She always thought of fantastic names we had sweet, sour, nugget, pepper and gravy. She always wanted 3 more at the time so she could have a K, F and C. Unfortunately Sour the little tan one is ill and I'm not sure she'll last the day. So we could be looking for a new home for Gravy as they are social birds and need to be with others. Here's the RSPCA link for caring for chickens if you fancy having fresh eggs on tap for brekki._
What a glorious weekend it's been, lots of lovely sunshine, perfect for treasure hunting. I hope you all got to enjoy some sunshine and lets keep everything crossed for it to continue. Here's some pics of my finds this week. As you can see I found some teapots for birdhouses and here's one that I found and completed over the weekend. It's so cute I just had to create straight away!
