I recently created this retro record cake stand for a customer to be used at their wedding which has a music theme. I love making these and think it's wonderful that it will be used on such a special day. I can create these stands in many variations from one tier to 3 tier, shaped or flat. Bowls are great to for keeping your keys fruit or other bits and bobs and what about a vinyl clock.
I was busy yesterday making bird feeders and finishing off some bird houses. I meant to take photographs of my work but was in a rush to get them to the shop and forgot! But here's the ones left behind for online sales. These four items aren't listed in my etsy store yet but they will be soon and there are others available. I've also nearly finished a teacup chandelier, just need some bulbs and it's done, I'll share that as soon as I can.
As you probably already know from previous blogs I sell in the Gallery, something old, something new, in Barton upon Humber. A lovely bespoke boutique for designers to display their wares and shoppers to find that unique gift or home decoration item. This week I have moved shelf spaces and updated the display, The window looks pretty too, with some ideas for spring. Or what about something from one of the other designers.
At Pretty vintage house we love all things vintage and pretty, but sometimes even the naughty side makes us smile. What do you think to this token/coin from around the 1910's in Navada. If you haven't guessed already it's a brothel token and I found in little old Lincolnshire in England. I wonder what its seen and how it got here. I didn't know they existed until I found this one._
I wanted to make some thing a little different from my other designs for Mother's day. As not every mum likes feeding the birds. Table lamps, chandeliers and candelabra's are out of reach for the pocket money buyers. The chocolate filled designs go well but again some mums maybe dieting. Here's some sold Mothers day designs. I wanted to do something with fresh cut flowers but they die so quickly so I've had made these with house plants, what do you think? I shall pick up a few more plants tomorrow and do some more as I have a few more ideas for miss match plant stands using cups and teapots.
